Shop Description

Churchmouse Yarns & Teas is one of Seattle's most charming yarn stores. It is located just across Elliott Bay on Bainbridge Island, which is easily accessible from downtown Seattle. Just hop on the Washington State Ferry for a short 30 minute scenic ferry crossing (you only pay one way!). Both Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountains are visible from the water and the Seattle skyline is spectacular.

Churchmouse Yarns and Teas is definitely worth a visit for any fiber artist visiting Seattle.  Visiting this yarn store is a mini-vacation in itself. This little gem is on Bainbridge Island on Winslow Way (the main street of Bainbridge Island) just behind Blackbird Bakery. The owners, Kit and John are wonderful people who have done a fantastic job creating a welcoming space for knitters, crocheters, stitchers, tea-drinkers, and browsers of all types.

Churhmouse Yarns and Teas offers a great range of classes and have a generous selection of high-quality yarns, a great range of books, and knitting needles made from all sorts of materials (including rosewood). They have shop patterns everywhere, and the products are breathtaking. Best of all, the shop patterns are complimentary with the purchase of yarn for the pattern. Most of all, it's a place you can sit, knit, and chat, and truly enjoy yourself.
